Mr. Lloyd is a founding shareholder of the firm. Mr. Lloyd has practiced law on the Monterey Peninsula since 1963, after beginning his legal career in San Francisco. Prior to the mid-1970s, Mr. Lloyd engaged in a general civil practice, including probate and trust matters and litigation in the areas of family law, commercial disputes, and plaintiffs' personal injury matters. Since then, Mr. Lloyd has emphasized estate planning, probate and trust administration, and probate and trust litigation (often in conjunction with the firm's litigation attorneys).

In addition to representing numerous clients in their estate planning and estate administration matters, involving revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, and related documents, Mr. Lloyd has successfully defended trustees and conservators. He has also successfully pursued trustees for breaches of trust and personal representatives for mishandling the administration of probate estates.
